Data is the lifeblood of Adani Enterprises Limited. As a Data Steward, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and usability of our data assets. This involves working closely with IT and business teams to resolve data issues, develop training materials to educate teams on data governance policies, and collaborate on data lineage and traceability.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular data quality checks and resolve issues.
  • Monitor data lineage and ensure traceability.
  • Validate data completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve data issues.
  • Develop training materials to educate teams on data governance policies.

Accountability:
As the custodian of data, you will be responsible for implementing policies and standards to ensure data compliance. With a strong understanding of data management principles, including data quality, integration, and lifecycle management, you will work to establish trust in our data assets.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required, along with at least 4-10 years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are advantageous. You must have a proven track record of managing data quality and governance initiatives, as well as a deep understanding of data sources, formats, and structures. Proficiency in data manipulation and transformation, knowledge of SQL and other database query languages, and familiarity with data warehousing, modeling, and profiling are also essential. Experience in coal mining is highly beneficial, but not necessary.

Key Skills:
You should have excellent project management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels in the organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to address complex data issues and implement effective governance strategies. You must be able to document data definitions, classifications, and lineage, and have excellent communication skills to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders. Finally, you should have experience in driving change and fostering a data-driven culture, and be able to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced agile environment.
