Senior Oracle Functional Consultant

The Senior Oracle Functional Consultant will lead the implementation of Oracle Fusion modules, guiding finance and accounting teams in understanding business processes and translating them into system requirements.

This role involves configuring Oracle Fusion to meet business needs, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and practices. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong background in problem-solving, change management, and documentation, and experience working with US and EU-based customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of Oracle Fusion modules, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to understand business processes and translate them into system requirements.
  • Configure Oracle Fusion to meet business needs, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and practices.
  • Develop functional specifications for custom reports, interfaces, and extensions.
  • Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to support system use and processes.
  • Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for Oracle Fusion-related issues.
  • Stay updated with Oracle product enhancements and best practices, recommending upgrades and improvements.
  • Assist in data migration activities, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on implementation best practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong functional experience in Oracle Fusion Financials, specifically Financial Accounting Hub (FAH).
  • Minimum of 2 Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation cycles involving FAH.
  • In-depth understanding of finance processes, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience in configuration, solution design, and process mapping within Oracle Cloud.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience working with US and EU-based clients.
  • Ability to operate independently in a global, fast-paced, and complex ERP landscape.
  • Strong knowledge of security roles, data access groups, and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and change management capabilities.
  • Ability to document business processes and functional designs effectively.
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding team members on implementation best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Cloud Financials certification.
  • Exposure to integration tools and middleware platforms.
  • Experience in large-scale global ERP rollouts.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
