About the Job:

This role involves developing, updating, and reviewing proprietary historical financial models to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Main Tasks:
  • Evaluate client (sell-side/buy-side) models and align our model's data points with those available in the client's models.
  • Stay current with significant trends and developments within relevant sectors and geographies.
  • Provide guidance to junior analysts in streamlining team workflow and meeting quality and timeline expectations.
  • Maintain Management Information System (MIS) Reports for both the team and organization.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of equity research experience, accompanied by extensive knowledge of key drivers, inhibitors, dynamics, trends, and KPIs within one or more sectors.
  • Strong grasp of capital markets and excellent financial skills, including proficiency in financial statements, ratios, accounting, and valuation concepts.
  • Able to scrutinize financial numbers in models and detect errors.
  • Exceptional focus to detail, strong work ethic, outstanding analytical skills, willingness to tackle challenges, and a positive attitude are crucial qualities for this position.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong relationship management and effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to work with and mentor junior team members.
  • MBA (Finance)/Master's degree in a related field such as commerce, economics, or accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree with notable progress towards financial certifications like CFA, CA, or CMA. Candidates with other degrees but considerable knowledge and experience may also apply.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
