Software Development Engineer in Test

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with test automation tools, strong programming skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain automated tests using JUnit, Jest, Mockito, Wire Mock, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, and other relevant tools.
  • Work closely with the development team to review new feature designs and ensure comprehensive testing.
  • Identify defects and own them through the resolution and verification cycle.
  • Create, update, and execute automated and manual tests.
  • Experience with functional testing, system testing, end-to-end testing, and API testing is required.
  • Familiarity with REST, JSON, XML, Web API, Postman, Swagger, MSTest, RestSharp, NewtonSoft.Json, Fluent Assertions, Java, chai assertion library, and Typescript is necessary.
  • Exposure to agile product development models, micro-services based development, and deployment is desirable.
  • Previous experience with mission-critical production issues is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Git hub, Gitlab, JIRA, Jenkins, and Confluence is essential.
  • Experience with functional and load testing of web applications and working with UNIX/Linux is beneficial.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in software development engineering in test.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle, and processes.
  • Excellent programming, debugging experience, and problem-solving skills.
