Financial Tester

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of accounting software. This role bridges the gap between technical testing and accounting expertise.

We are seeking a skilled professional to test financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Taxation, and Payroll. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting standards, double-entry bookkeeping, ledgers, and taxation processes.

• Design and execute test cases for accounting software based on business and accounting requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on financial modules.
• Validate that double-entry bookkeeping principles are applied correctly across all transactions.
• Ensure accurate posting, balancing, and reconciliation of ledgers.
• Test compliance with relevant tax rules and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
• Collaborating with product managers, accountants, and developers to refine requirements and test coverage.
• Providing input on usability, performance, and accuracy from an accountant's perspective.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, or a related field, with experience in software testing or QA for financial applications. Familiarity with test management tools, such as JIRA or TestRail, is desirable.
