Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Ruby on Rails expert to lead our development team in creating scalable and high-performance software solutions. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of Ruby, Rails, Node.js, and other server-side frameworks, as well as a strong understanding of UI frameworks, design tools, and databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions using Ruby on Rails and Node.js.
    • Ensure the technical feasibility of architectural designs and maintain coding standards across the project.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
    • Perform code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless and user-centric solutions.
    • Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize deployments and ensure the stability of the application environment.
    • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver technical solutions.
  • Development and Optimization:
    • Develop and maintain server-side code using Ruby on Rails and Node.js, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
    • Integrate UI frameworks and design tools into the application architecture, creating a seamless user experience.
    • Work on database design, optimization, and performance tuning to ensure data integrity and high performance.
    • Stay updated with the latest developments in Ruby, Rails, and Node.js to implement new features and improve existing ones.
  • System Design and Architecture:
    • Design and architect end-to-end solutions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and security.
    • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Design RESTful APIs and ensure proper integration with frontend frameworks.
Requirements
  • Programming Languages: Ruby, JavaScript (Node.js)
  • Frameworks: Ruby on Rails (latest versions), Node.js
  • Server-Side Frameworks: Strong expertise in designing server-side applications and managing backend services.
  • UI Frameworks: Experience with modern UI frameworks and design tools to ensure a cohesive user experience.
  • Databases: Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience with NoSQL databases.
  • API Design: Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Tools and Technologies: Git, Docker, AWS/Azure, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, etc.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 11+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on Ruby on Rails and Node.js.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing development teams.
  • Hands-on experience with architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and experience in deploying applications on cloud infrastructure.
Preferred
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
