We are seeking an experienced Patent Analyst with expertise in Chemical Engineering to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting patent landscape, white space analysis, portfolio audit, and competitive benchmarking projects for our clients in the chemical engineering industry.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects and collaborate with a talented team of experts. As a Senior IP Specialist for Chemistry and Life Sciences, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive analysis of patents and scientific literature documents using appropriate tools and databases.
- Preparing reports summarizing the findings as per the project objectives and customer expectations.
- Updating your technical skill set and hands-on subject matter expertise in the technologies being deployed and used widely in the industry.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of B.E., B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or Material Science.
- 1-3 years of experience performing patent landscaping, white space analysis, and audit, benchmarking.
- Strong technical skills for comprehending complex technology concepts.
- Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with an ability to quickly learn other proprietary and 3rd party analytical visualization tools.
Bonus Points
We would love to see candidates with a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or Material Science, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including chart generation, data handling, and VBA. Experience in various patent searches, such as patentability, novelty, state of art, and FTO IVS, and basic knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) fundamentals and/or Patent laws.
