Job Purpose

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at globalinsurance, you will be involved in driving our quality engineering practices and initiatives forward. Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, ranging from hands-on automation to contributing to the strategy and direction of quality engineering at Brit. You'll be at the forefront of our quality efforts, driving the development and maintenance of automated test suites across our full stack. Your expertise in automation frameworks and tools will ensure comprehensive test coverage throughout the SDLC. While automation will be a cornerstone of your role, you'll also be engaged in exploratory testing efforts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to uphold the highest standards of quality at every layer of our software stack. As a mentor within the QA team, you'll provide guidance and direction to junior members and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Your collaboration with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders will be critical in advocating for quality throughout the software development lifecycle and effectively communicating QA strategies and results.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with teams to design, plan, and execute the required testing for delivery.
  • Develop and implement test plans and test scripts for each test phase using testing tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated testing solutions for complex software systems.
  • Contribute to automation strategies and frameworks to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team on testing and automation best practices.

Requirements

Must have technical skills, including extensive experience in QA, including test automation. Experience in design, development, and maintenance of manual and automation tests is also required. Ability to breakdown high-level business requirements, map to iterative delivery, and create robust technical test scripts is essential. Strong understanding of web application architecture, technologies, and protocols, such as HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, HTTP, is also necessary.
