Job Title: AWS Cloud Solutions Engineer for Oil and Gas

Are you an experienced AWS cloud professional with expertise in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and cloud solutions for the oil and gas industry? We seek a skilled engineer to collaborate with our team in translating business requirements into innovative data solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS cloud services, data engineering, and knowledge of upstream, midstream, or downstream processes to support advanced analytics, reporting, and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS cloud services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, Lake Formation, Lambda, Kinesis, Step Functions, CloudWatch, and DynamoDB.
  • Ingest, process, and store structured/unstructured data from various sources including IoT devices, sensors, ERP systems, drilling logs, production data, and more.
  • Implement data lake and data warehouse solutions to optimize data governance, security compliance, and performance.
  • Collaborate with domain experts, data scientists, and business analysts to identify business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Provide technical documentation and transfer knowledge to the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT development using PySpark, Python, or SQL.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of data lakes and modern data architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data solutions.
  • Familiarity with Oil and Gas industry datasets and use cases.
