Backend Developer Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our organization. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, high-performance services using Node.js.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop backend architecture and infrastructure using Node.js.
  • Create and optimize APIs, microservices, and integrations.
  • Work with MongoDB for data modeling, schema design, performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to define interfaces, data contracts, and integrate front/backend.
  • Manage deployment, infrastructure, and operations on AWS.
  • Ensure code quality: tests, code reviews, best practices, documentation.
  • Participate in architectural decisions, trade-offs, and mentor junior team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in backend heavy MERN development.
  • Deep expertise in Node.js, Express, building and maintaining backend services in production.
  • Strong experience with MongoDB: schema design, indexing, querying, scaling, performance optimization.
  • Comfortable with front end using React (with Vite), understanding of how backend & frontend interact.
  • Strong experience in AWS: setting up environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring, security.
  • Experience with microservices, distributed systems, handling high traffic, fault tolerance.
