**Job Overview**

The primary responsibility of a Senior Performance Tester is to develop and execute comprehensive performance testing strategies, ensuring seamless integration with the software development lifecycle.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Maintain technical expertise in performance/load testing principles and methodologies.
  • Design and implement solutions for supporting cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor server metrics using advanced performance monitoring tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Innovate and implement solutions that meet industry-standard requirements.
  • Analyze business requirements, solution designs, and process documentation to identify feasible business-critical transactions.
  • Implement best practices and standards for performance testing within the enterprise environment.

**Operational Management**

  • Conduct endurance, stress, load, and volume testing to validate software applications and infrastructure stability and performance.
  • Provide performance testing support for software systems, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate and execute creation of test cases, scripts, and performance test execution plans.
  • Design, develop, and execute scripts validating test cases defined within project test plans.
  • Perform load testing across multiple messaging protocols, focusing on overall application performance and validating accurate response and outputs.

**People Leadership & Governance**

  • Mentor and guide junior team members in their professional development.
  • Track and communicate task progress, status, and key performance metrics to stakeholders.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

  • 7+ years of experience in performance testing, with a strong background in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software quality assurance (SQA) processes.
  • Min 5 years of experience with OpenText LoadRunner, Citrix, RDP, Java, and performance testing Mobile Technologies and databases.
  • Significant experience working with Jmeter and APM tools, including NewRelic and Graphana.
  • Proven experience with SOAP Web Services and RESTful Web Services testing using SOAP UI, Postman, and Swagger.
  • Strong knowledge of performance testing principles, techniques, and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and SQA processes, as well as CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Experience working on continuous improvement projects is beneficial.
  • Experience working in distributed delivery models will be advantageous.
