Job Title: Principal Consultant - Trading Platform QA

Our client is seeking an experienced and skilled Principal Consultant to join their team in a trading platform QA role.

This position will involve ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of trading systems, primarily using the Endur tool for energy and commodities trading.

As a Principal Consultant, you will work closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and QA teams to drive and implement testing strategies, identify risks, and provide valuable insights into platform improvements while adhering to best practices in IT and QA processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute QA activities on the Trading Platform, ensuring functionality, performance, and stability across various environments
  • Own and manage the QA lifecycle for the trading platform, including planning, test case development, execution, and defect management
  • Collaborate with trading and IT teams to understand system requirements, user needs, and business processes to identify critical areas for testing
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies for Endur and related tools, including integration, regression, functional, and performance testing
  • Leverage knowledge of Endur to identify potential risks, assess system behavior, and ensure critical trading workflows function correctly
  • Mentor junior QA team members and define, implement, and enforce QA best practices and methodologies across all projects
  • Ensure test data integrity, environments, and processes maintain high standards of testing quality and accuracy
  • Identify and document defects, track issues to resolution, and deliver quality software
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating current QA practices and recommending process improvements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA within trading or financial platforms, focusing on testing complex trading systems
  • Extensive experience in functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing within complex trading environments
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Endur or similar trading platforms
  • Solid understanding of trading workflows, financial products, and market data related to trading platforms
  • Experience working with test automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, with the ability to work in fast-paced, iterative environments
  • Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience in risk assessment and test planning for mission-critical applications
  • Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior team members
