Procurement Specialist

Job Overview

This role involves identifying, evaluating and managing suppliers to ensure the procurement of goods and services that meet our business needs.

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sourcing and Evaluation: Identify potential suppliers based on technical requirements, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
  2. Contract Negotiation: Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  3. Supplier Development: Collaborate with suppliers to identify areas for improvement in their processes, quality, and delivery performance.
  4. Cost Reduction and Optimization: Analyze the cost structure of products and identify opportunities for cost reduction through value engineering, process optimization, and material sourcing.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
  2. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  3. Skills: Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes, excellent negotiation and communication skills, knowledge of supplier management, vendor development, and cost reduction strategies, ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
