Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal AI Research Scientist to spearhead the development of novel deep learning architectures and algorithms tailored for power grid data modalities and applications. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting original, high-impact research in foundation models, collaborating closely with AI engineers and domain experts, and translating research breakthroughs into practical, scalable solutions deployable within real-world power grid systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cutting-edge research in deep learning and its applications to power grid systems
  • Develop and implement novel deep learning architectures and algorithms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into actionable solutions
  • Build and mentor a high-performing research team, fostering a collaborative and innovative research culture

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • 7+ years of research experience in deep learning, machine learning, or related areas
  • Prior experience with building foundation models and other related concepts
  • Strong expertise in designing, developing, and implementing novel deep learning architectures and algorithms
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills

Desired Skills

We welcome candidates with prior experience in top AI research labs, contributions to open-source machine learning projects, and experience applying AI/ML to power systems, electrical grids, or related domains.
