High-Performance Network Solutions Architect

As a high-performance network solutions architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's low-latency trading networks. These networks are critical to the success of our clients, who rely on us for exceptional uptime and cutting-edge technology.

Your primary focus will be on architecting and designing high-performance trading networks that demand exceptional uptime. You will work closely with our global team of engineers across AMER, EMEA, and APAC to ensure seamless integration and deployment of these networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Low-Latency Network Design: Lead initiatives related to market data, trading, and co-location network design, balancing project management with operational tasks.
  • Project Leadership: Own and manage global network projects from initial requirement gathering to design, cost analysis, and implementation.
  • Innovation & Technology Research: Evaluate and introduce emerging network technologies such as RF networks, low-latency transport, and advanced routing/switching solutions.
  • Network Configuration & Support: Configure, install, maintain, and support critical software and hardware components to ensure high availability of market data networks.
  • Precision Timing Implementation: Implement and maintain protocols such as PTP (Precision Time Protocol) and PPS (Pulse Per Second) for precise network synchronization.
  • Infrastructure Management: Deploy, support, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, document IT policies and procedures, and participate in on-call rotations and after-hours support.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Expertise in low-latency network technologies, including multicast, L2/L3, WAN design, and routing.
  • Extensive experience with network data capture, timestamping, and aggregation.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in network engineering, operations, and support.
  • Proven experience with Arista, Cisco, and Layer 1 switches; familiarity with FPGA and high-performance computing is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in IP networking, TCP/IP troubleshooting, and Linux shell operations.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
