Job Description

The Cloud Data Lead position at Getronics is a senior role that encompasses end-to-end technical responsibilities. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the best architecture and support are provided to the customer on behalf of Getronics. The role will also serve as the technical and people point of contact for the Public Cloud Delivery team's customer engagements. Additionally, the Cloud Data Lead will be responsible for supporting the transition phase of existing or new customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement upskilling and training plans for the team.
• Review and update project-specific documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Plan and guide the team in managing day-to-day activities, ensuring seamless execution and progress.
• Collaborate with clients to propose the best solutions for their capabilities and needs during deal solution conversations.
• Contribute to the development of platforms that make data across applications available for AI/ML-driven feature prototyping, proofs-of-concept, and general availability.
• Assist in refining data pipelines for analysis, while refining, automating, and scaling as needed for the use case at hand.
• Work on various aspects of the AI/ML ecosystem, including data modeling, data and ML pipelines, data documentation, scaling, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and MLOps Engineers to design scalable systems and model architectures for enabling real-time ML/AI services.
• Develop, program, and maintain applications using the Apache Spark open-source framework.
• Work with different aspects of the Spark ecosystem, including Spark SQL, Data Frames, Datasets, and streaming.
• Familiar with big data processing tools and techniques, creating Spark jobs for data transformation and aggregation.
• Produce unit tests for Spark transformations and helper methods.
• Assist in designing data processing pipelines, creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Assist in building analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
• Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our offerings.
• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
• Provide technical direction and guidance to the team, resolving queries and issues efficiently.
• Attend and drive various architectural, design, and status calls with multiple stakeholders.
• Ensure end-to-end ownership of all tasks is aligned.
• Test implementation, troubleshoot, and correct problems.
• Capable of working as an individual contributor and within a team.
