Job Title: Community Development Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Community Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of underprivileged communities, identifying key issues, and developing effective interventions to address these challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct baseline assessments of underprivileged communities and identify campaign issues.
  • Develop key interventions in collaboration with partner organizations to achieve sustainable poverty alleviation through investments in education, livelihood, health, and environment support.
  • Mobilize communities to participate in their own development, including regular visits and engagement with partner organizations.
  • Develop a high-quality model of urban development that showcases holistic development for displaced, migrated, and underserved populations.
  • Ensure effective grant management, timely fund flow, and utilization by working closely with partner organizations.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and manage the project's MIS, including quarterly and annual reports.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Provide coordination support to partner organizations on a daily basis.
  2. Coordinate volunteers and maintain a database of volunteer activities.
  3. Maintain a pictorial database of activities, events, and functions.
  4. Conduct floor walks with business account volunteers as needed.

Required Attributes and Experience:

  • 4-5 years of experience in the development sector, with expertise in developing partnerships, monitoring, and implementing programs, community mobilization, data collection, analysis, and documentation.
  • Ability to deliver results independently, work with various stakeholders, and present work at forums.
  • Experience in managing complex processes and projects.
  • Experience in programme management, volunteer engagement, and networking.
  • Desirable experience in sports projects.
