Senior Azure Data Engineer Job Description

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, PySpark, Python, Delta Tables, and Unity Catalog.

As a Senior Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data platforms on Azure. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Developing and deploying scalable data processing solutions using PySpark and Python.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design technical solutions.
  • Collaborating with data engineers and scientists to develop and implement machine learning models.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years of relevant hands-on development experience as an Azure Data Engineering role.
  • Proficient in Azure technologies like ADB, ADF, SQL, PySpark, Python, Synapse, Delta Tables, and Unity Catalog.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, or Spark SQL.
  • Experience in business process mapping of data and analytics solutions.
