Key Cost Management Role

This is a challenging position that involves overseeing cost accounting, ensuring accurate product costs, manufacturing overheads and COGS. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting and inventory management.

  • Cost Accounting Expertise
  • Prepare comprehensive cost budgets aligned with company goals and strategic objectives.
  • Regularly update and forecast costs based on business dynamics, collaborating with key departments.
  • Monitor expenditure against budgeted figures and take corrective action.
  • Cost Reporting Specialist
  • Provide regular costing reports, including standard vs. actual variance analysis and cost trends insights.
  • Present findings to senior management, highlighting key cost drivers and offering actionable recommendations.
  • Inventory Control Manager
  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation using appropriate costing methods.
  • Implement processes to minimize inventory obsolescence and improve inventory turnover.
  • Perform inventory revaluation.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance Officer
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, financial regulations and internal controls related to costing and inventory.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate costing and inventory data.
  • Process Improvement Specialist
  • Continuously assess costing methods and accounting processes to identify improvements for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and integrate new systems or tools for better cost tracking, data analysis and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Education: Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (ICWA) certification is required.
  • CA degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in cost accounting, costing management or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in managing costing systems, preparing budgets, performing variance analysis and generating cost reports.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP environment, cost accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills.
