Creative Material Finisher

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced creative material finisher to take on the role of developing innovative and visually appealing design concepts for various products. This includes automobiles, fashion items, and lifestyle accessories.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor the team on innovation and continuous process improvement through different initiatives.
  • Conduct continuous research on design trends for automotive, product, fashion, lifestyle, and technology for both global and local contexts.
  • Understand the brand's vision, product concept, target customer, program parameters, vehicle architecture, USPs, technical and commercial parameters of the project.
  • Create multiple design concepts for material finishes based on the above information with the objective of complete self-explanatory understanding of volume and design expression by the audience.
  • Collaborate closely with the digital and visualisation team to create future designs.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers and vendors to identify new resources for materials and ensure innovative designs.
  • Develop a library for internal samples.
  • Make presentations to management at various stages.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in related development with more than 3-5 vehicle project development experience.
  • Excellent material finish design ability, familiarity with design processes, and proficiency in relevant software.
  • Fluent English communication skills and teamwork abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in a related field.
