BMS Hardware Architect

Job Summary:

Our organization is seeking a skilled BMS hardware architect to design and develop cutting-edge Building Management System (BMS) hardware for energy storage applications.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in state-of-the-art system design, layout compliance, EMI/EMC aspects, and the ability to deliver high-quality modules on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop BMS hardware systems for energy storage applications with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
  • Ensure system compliance with regulatory requirements such as UL9540/UL1973/IEC62619/IEC 60730.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Power Electronics concepts, Digital circuit design, Analog circuit design, and Micro-controllers.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions to complex use cases.
  • Own responsibility for delivering modules/systems on-time at quality.

Requirements:

  • BE/BTech/MTech in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
  • At least 12 years of experience in designing and developing BMS systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing BMS for energy storage applications.
  • Rich hands-on experience in architecting Power Electronics concepts for BMS.
  • Experience in Digital circuit design, Analog circuit design, ADC, DACs, OP Amps, Micro-processors, Micro-controllers & DSPs.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory requirements for Li-ion batteries.
  • Knowledge of PCB layout constraints.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Analog Front End circuit design for Li-ion batteries.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience using simulation tools (e.g., P-Spice, Matlab, Mathcad).
  • Experience with FMEA and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience working with various Sensing Technologies (e.g., Temp Sensor, Voltage sensor).
  • Experience working with hardware peripherals and communication ckt design.
  • Experience in Power Supply Design.
  • Experience working with MOSFET driving.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Safety Regulatory standards like IEC61508, ISO26262 when building HW designs.
  • Contactors and Relays.
  • Working knowledge of safety-critical features like charge control, thermal control, fault detection, and diagnostics for battery and energy products.
