We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Component Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain component specifications that meet customer and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Create detailed technical specifications for mechanical/electrical components, taking into account customer needs and industry standards.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings to guarantee precision and thoroughness.
  • Collaborate with design teams to verify drawing accuracy and completeness, fostering open communication and cooperation.
  • Validate bill of materials (BOMs), datasheets, and 3D models to ensure specifications are up-to-date, reflecting the latest technological advancements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sourcing, quality, and production, to drive project success and achieve business objectives.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain technical data and ensure specification adherence, building strong relationships and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • Spearhead efforts to standardize components and reduce part proliferation, implementing cost-saving measures and enhancing product competitiveness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date component libraries (in PLM or ERP systems), streamlining processes and improving overall efficiency.
  • Ensure specifications meet relevant international standards (ISO, RoHS, REACH, etc.) and maintain comprehensive technical documentation in internal systems.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently handle engineering change requests (ECRs) and change orders (ECOs), minimizing disruptions and delays.
  • Communicate specification changes across departments, promoting transparency and collaboration.
  • Participate in the design and review of new components during New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, driving innovation and growth.
  • Aid in qualifying new suppliers based on their technical specification capabilities, fostering a culture of excellence and reliability.
