Job Title: ServiceNow CMDB Expert

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and maintain our ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies in the CMDB.
  • Develop processes for identifying, recording, and managing configuration items (CIs) and their relationships within the CMDB.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure all CIs are accurately recorded and updated in the CMDB.
Data Integrity & Quality:
  • Perform regular audits to ensure integrity and quality of CMDB data.
  • Identify and rectify data discrepancies, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies within the CMDB.
  • Establish data quality standards and processes.
Process Development & Improvement:
  • Design and implement configuration management processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the CMDB.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective CMDB solutions.
  • Continuously monitor and improve CMDB processes to align with industry best practices and business needs.
Integration & Automation:
  • Integrate the CMDB with other IT systems and tools to enable automation and improve data flow.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, workflows, and tools to automate CMDB-related tasks.
  • Work with IT operations and other teams to ensure seamless integration of CMDB with other ServiceNow modules.
Reporting & Analytics:
  • Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into the health and status of the CMDB.
  • Analyze CMDB data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management and stakeholders on CMDB performance.
Training & Support:
  • Provide training and support to IT staff and other stakeholders on CMDB processes and best practices.
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for CMDB-related queries and issues.

This role requires a high level of expertise in ServiceNow and CMDB administration. The ideal candidate will have experience working with IT systems and tools, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve business objectives.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will need to interact with various stakeholders, including IT teams, managers, and other departmental representatives.
