Job Title: Indirect Tax Specialist

As an experienced Indirect Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of GST related assignments, including retainership, compliances, tax reviews, and audits.

You will be well-versed in other Indirect Taxes Laws, such as Service Tax and VAT Laws, with good practical exposure in handling compliances and litigations. You will prepare submissions/replies to various tax notices, draft appeals, and represent clients before revenue authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage GST related assignments, including retainership, compliances, tax reviews, and audits.
  • Well-versed in other Indirect Taxes Laws, such as Service Tax and VAT Laws, with good practical exposure in handling compliances and litigations.
  • Prepare submissions/replies to various tax notices, draft appeals, and represent clients before revenue authorities.
  • Foster client engagement by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving issues within agreed timelines, and working closely with our support team to ensure that client needs are met.
  • Ensure the timely execution of deliverables, both technical and non-technical.
  • Help junior team members develop through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Offer guidance and consultation on GST matters to clients, including providing insights on tax implications related to new business deals and other relevant scenarios.

Requirements:
  • CA/Lawyer with 5-6 years working experience specifically in Indirect tax domain.
  • Hands-on experience in complex GST technical review and advisory.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong drive to excel professionally, and to guide and motivate others.
  • Independent in managing own workload with limited available resource, ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Working knowledge of ERP package viz. Tally, MS Office etc.
  • Hands-on with advanced MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills.
  • Business Development skills.
