Job Description

We are seeking a Music Content Director to lead the development of engaging music content that meets our business goals. As a seasoned music programming professional, you will oversee the creation of compelling playlists and curated collections that resonate with our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy & Curation: Develop music programming strategies, create editorial calendars, and ensure genre coverage aligns with our objectives.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a team of curators, collaborate with data teams, marketing, product, and acquisition teams to drive curation decisions.
  • User & Market Insights: Analyze user needs, leverage data insights to inform curation decisions, and stay up-to-date with content trends on social media platforms.
  • Campaigns & Discovery: Develop thematic campaigns, optimize playlist placements, and coordinate with marketing for artist spotlights.
  • Content Performance Monitoring: Track engagement, usage, and downloads of playlists and curated collections, and iterate based on performance data.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in music programming, editorial curation, or content strategy at a music-tech company.
  • Strong understanding of music genres, moods, and social media use cases.
  • Proven ability to lead curation initiatives across multiple genres and formats.
  • Comfortable working with data to make content decisions and experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, marketing, A&R, and content operations teams.
