Cybersecurity Professional

This role involves ensuring the security and integrity of company assets by conducting regular patrols, examining doors, windows, and gates to guarantee they are properly secured. The Security Associate is responsible for maintaining order and security within designated areas.

Key responsibilities include participating in the design, implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of privacy policies, procedures, and controls. Additionally, the Security Associate will support the execution of information security and privacy inherent to new engagements for Infrastructure.

Other duties include identifying technological opportunities and evaluating the information security and privacy impacts on endpoints. The successful candidate will also be expected to prevent/deter theft and fraud through physical presence and engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of privacy policies, procedures, and controls.
• Support the execution of information security and privacy inherent to new engagements for Infrastructure.
• Identify technological opportunities and evaluate the information security and privacy impacts on endpoints.
• Prevent/deter theft and fraud through physical presence and engagement.
• Support the security team by carrying out day-to-day operational tasks utilizing specialized applications, tools, and platforms.
• Manage confidential files, perform audits, conduct network and patch vulnerability assessments, and ensure 100% compliance.
• Provide on-call 24X7 support, as needed.
• Stay abreast of the latest information security controls, practices, techniques, and capabilities in the marketplace, as well as evolving threats.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments across all digital platforms.
• Perform functional tests of new security tools, provide test results and feedback to internal teams and vendors.
• Direct emergency response personnel to the area of incident.
• Analyse security data to identify trends and recommend proactive measures.
• Perform cross-functional activities such as data collection, analysis, development of custom reports and slide decks, as well as process improvement.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team to maintain system security.

The ideal candidate should possess strong infrastructure administration and management skills, with experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word and report writing. Ability to learn and understand fire and security systems, including EAS Systems, is also required. Knowledge of Symantec Control Compliance Suite is preferred. Understanding of third-party risk management considerations, incident response, and crisis management processes is essential. Familiarity with cloud security platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is desirable. In addition, the candidate should have credentialed or trained in cyber and privacy (e.g., CISSP) and CCNA, routing and switching, security. Minimum three years of experience in IT Security – Data Loss Prevention is necessary.
