Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Managed Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing managed security services to our clients, ensuring the continued operation of their security infrastructures and systems.

The primary objective of this role is to proactively monitor, identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems, restoring service to clients without breaching service level agreements (SLAs). This role involves second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity.

The Managed Security Engineer may also contribute to project work as required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • SIEM System Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and maintain the SIEM system to collect and analyze security event data, develop, customize, and manage security rules to detect and respond to security threats, monitor SIEM alerts, investigate them, and take appropriate actions based on severity and nature.
  • Incident Response: Develop and document incident response procedures, lead or assist in incident response efforts when security incidents occur, analyze and investigate security events from various sources, manage security incidents through all incident response phases to closure.
  • Log Collection and Analysis: Oversee the collection, normalization, and storage of log data from various sources, identify log sources, examine system logs to reconstruct event histories using forensic techniques.
  • SIEM Rule Alignment: Align SIEM rules and alerts with security policies and compliance requirements.
  • Computer Forensic Investigations: Conduct computer forensic investigations, including examining running processes, identifying network connections, and disk imaging.
  • SOC Toolset Maintenance: Maintain and support the operational integrity of SOC toolsets, collaborate with SIEM solution vendors for updates, patches, and support.
