Senior Backend Developer

 

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that support our maritime operations platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of backend services with frontend applications, databases, and other core systems.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to scalable software architecture development.
  • Take ownership of the product lifecycle from conceptualization through development and deployment.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development practices, including unit tests, for high-quality code.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for efficiency and consistency.
  • Optimize applications for performance, speed, and scalability.
  • Enforce security best practices and data protection regulations.
  • Maintain technical documentation for all systems and processes.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong Python foundation, including debugging and performance analysis.
  • Experience in web application development and APIs (REST, XML).
  • Expertise in secure software development and sensitive data handling.
  • Well-established experience in development phases – requirement gathering, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Source Code Repository and Git.
  • DB design & Architecture expertise with a focus on performance.
  • Caching techniques and utilities like Memcache / Redis.
  • Experience working on Apache, Nginx, or web/app servers.
  • Containerization tool - Docker.
  • Enterprise level deployment and scaling experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Reusable code writing and library creation experience.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
