We are seeking a skilled digital design engineer to develop and characterize standard cell libraries from scratch. This role requires expertise in developing and supporting existing standard cell libraries, optimizing power, performance, and area trade-offs between different cell circuit architectures, and collaborating with the layout team to define floor plans and layout guidelines for schematics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support existing standard cell libraries
  • Optimize PPA trade-offs between different cell circuit architectures in realistic usage environments
  • Collaborate with the layout team to define floor plans and layout guidelines for schematics, and conduct thorough layout reviews to achieve optimum designs
  • Design and implement combinatorial, power management, and sequential circuits using industry-standard EDA tools
  • Run equivalence verification using ESPCV and verify functionality, performance, and power of developed circuits
  • Characterize and generate views of libraries with multiple custom PVT (Process, Voltage, and Temperature) corners
  • Model new and existing cells to support industry-wide PnR, Simulation, and Signoff tools
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of work, design flows, and reports
  • Automate manual tasks to reduce overall time and effort

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in digital design engineering. They should possess excellent knowledge of standard cell library development and characterization, strong understanding of PPA trade-offs and optimization techniques, and proficiency in EDA tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, and Mentor Graphics.
