Job Description

Coforge is hiring a Senior Java Software Engineer to lead our technology team. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-quality software solutions using Java/J2EE.\
  • Lead a team of junior engineers and coach them on technical craftsmanship.\
  • Solve complex technical problems and build components/libraries with far-reaching impact.\
  • Oversee the management of technical debt and drive opportunities to eliminate it.\
  • Partner with the security organization to incorporate security-conscious practices early in the lifecycle of new systems.\
  • Thoughtfully evaluate technical risks and guide teams toward practical prevention strategies.\
  • Maintain a focus on removing duplication of effort across teams and proactively identify opportunities for reuse.\
  • Explore emerging technologies and lead the development of prototypes with little or no guidance.\

  • Measure and maintain system designs spanning multiple teams to allow small, safe, incremental releases.\

  • Use Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM, to manage projects.\
  • Participate in scaled agile frameworks and DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.\

Requirements:

  • \
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.\
  • 5 to 7 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments.\
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous integration/delivery.\
  • Experience with driving adoption of Agile methodologies, processes, and tools in a cross-functional organization.\
  • Proficiency in object-oriented design techniques and principles.\
  • Proficiency in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.\
  • Familiarity with REST API, JMS MQ, WebSphere Application Server, IBM/Azure Cloud, GitHub/ADO, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Oracle SQL.\
