ESG Data Specialist Role Overview

This position is a key member of our team, responsible for supporting initiatives related to environmental sustainability and reducing the organization's environmental footprint. The ideal candidate will assist in collecting data from clients and ensuring accuracy as per defined requirements.

The role involves performing various tasks such as data gathering, validation, verification, and calculations related to Carbon Footprint emissions (Scope 1, 2 & 3), Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), and ESG reporting. Additionally, they will support the preparation of draft reports in line with established guidelines and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data collection and accuracy assurance from clients.
  • Data gathering, validation, verification, and calculations for Carbon Footprint emissions.
  • Data collection, validation, verification, and calculations for Life Cycle Assessments.
  • Report preparation for Carbon Footprint, Life Cycle Assessment, and ESG.
  • Supporting organizational administrative tasks.
  • Development of knowledge on ESG concepts and associated frameworks.
  • Maintenance of a database of prospective clients.
  • Outreach activities to generate leads.
  • Identifying high-potential leads and initiating engagement with prospective customers.
  • Management of the sales pipeline.
  • Research into industries and organizations to identify opportunities.
  • Account mapping and scheduling meetings for the sales team.
  • Validation and qualification of accounts before adding them to the pipeline.
  • Application of research skills to source relevant information.
  • Familiarization with the company's CRM tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in assessing and/or applying ESG standards and performance best practices.
