Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced data engineer to join our team. As a senior member of the engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining scalable and secure data solutions on Databricks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists and analysts to deliver actionable insights from big data platforms.
- Design and develop high-performance data pipelines using PySpark, Spark SQL and Scala.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in data engineering best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on cloud-based platforms.
- Proven expertise in Databricks (including Databricks SQL, Delta Lake and MLflow).
- Strong experience with data modeling, ETL development and data warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP a plus).
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Kafka etc.).
- Strong SQL development skills with a focus on performance tuning.
- Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
