Role: Lead Data Scientist

Data Science and AI Competency Center

This team focuses on leveraging data, analytics, and AI technologies to extract insights, build predictive models, and develop AI-powered solutions. It utilizes exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, model deployment, and integration, as well as model monitoring and maintenance.

The key duties include:

  • Running end-to-end initiatives (business understanding, data understanding/preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment)
  • Analyzing and interpreting findings
  • Drawing conclusions and recommendations, including expected benefits and measuring ROI for enhancing business processes
  • Supporting pre-sales activities and initiatives

Requirements

  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts
  • Experience with machine learning, especially in Generative AI (LLM/LMM), Natural Language Processing, or multi-modal models
  • Business requirements gathering, transforming them into technical plans, data processing, feature engineering, model evaluation, hypothesis testing, and model deployment
  • Fluency in Python, working knowledge of SQL, and vector databases
  • Knowledge of specific DS/ML/CVGenAI/NLP libraries like NumPy, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace, LangChain, and GenAI APIs (OpenAI/Gemini)

Nice to have

  • Experience in big data and distributed environments
  • Commercial experience proven by multiple successful projects in Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, or Computer Vision

General

  • Good computer programming skills and object-oriented programming familiarity
  • Expertise in Azure cloud resources and Databricks
  • Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization
  • Strong business acumen
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Leadership skills to lead small technical teams on projects
