Job Overview:

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies that drive engagement and grow our audience reach organically. This person will work closely with our editorial team to create compelling content that reflects our brand voice and tone.

This role requires a strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and X. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, visual storytelling abilities, and experience in community management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies that align with our global goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to create engaging content that meets our brand standards
  • Manage day-to-day posting, editing, and optimization of content on multiple social media platforms
  • Select and curate imagery, video, and visual content that resonates with our audience
  • Execute best-in-class social storytelling, gathering assets from different teams
  • Work with the global social storytelling team to ensure cohesive storytelling across all platforms
  • Create and foster communities on social platforms
  • Plan, design, and implement successful social strategies for cover reveals, tentpoles, and global/local stories
  • Manage social swaps with internal brands and external partners
  • Report on content performance and present social insights and best practices to stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of social media experience, preferably with experience working for a digital publisher
  • Strong writing skills, visual storytelling abilities, and experience in community management
  • Proven ability in growing social audiences organically
  • Experience with tools like Dash Hudson, Listen First, or Google Analytics
  • Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate information quickly
  • Must complete an edit test (writing samples are a plus)
