Overview

Acuity Knowledge Partners seeks an Environmental Risk Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Risk Specialist, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating environmental risks associated with investments. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting and analyzing data related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, as well as developing ESG risk models using non-financial data from regulatory bodies. You will also be responsible for conducting ESG rating and research on issuers using leading ratings methodologies and sustainable bond principles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ESG research, analysis, and reporting, with a minimum of two to four years' experience in the field. A working knowledge of non-financial ESG reporting frameworks and assessments, including GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, SDG, UNGC, and other ESG frameworks, is essential. Strong analytical skills, the ability to articulate complex viewpoints, and excellent communication and client relationship management skills are also required. Additionally, proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Collecting and analyzing data related to ESG issues from various sources.
  • Developing ESG risk models using non-financial data from regulatory bodies.
  • Conducting ESG rating and research on issuers using leading ratings methodologies and sustainable bond principles.
  • Identifying and mitigating environmental risks associated with investments.
  • Developing and maintaining accurate records of collected data.


Requirements:
