About this role

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our space data analytics product development team, you will be responsible for exploring different use cases for our technology and working closely with the CTO to strategize the product and company roadmap.

As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in developing sophisticated modeling techniques to apply to our modern data stack and build the future of Space Edge Computing.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively using modern AI tools to enhance productivity across the data science lifecycle (data wrangling, model design, testing, documentation, etc.).
  • Designing and implementing state-of-the-art computer vision and ML models for satellite imagery (optical, SAR, multispectral, hyperspectral, thermal).
  • Training and fine-tuning deep learning models for edge deployment (on-board satellites), balancing performance with efficiency, power, and computational constraints.
  • Providing MLOps, orchestration, and workflow best practices.
  • Collaborating with GIS engineers, software teams, and product managers to integrate ML solutions into our broader pipeline.

You will work independently in a remote-first setup and have excellent communication skills to bridge technical and product conversations across geographies. We value curiosity, creativity, and a problem-solving mindset.
