Job Description

Role: Assurance Mid Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of IBM Tivoli Netcool suite of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain systems to support business operations and deliver high-quality service to customers.
  • Collaborate with technical lead and vendor to support ongoing projects.
  • Perform periodic assessments of operational, application, and platform health.
  • Prepare change plans and seek approvals.
  • Maintain automation scripts and optimize existing working methods.
  • Drive effectiveness and efficiency through strategic harmonization and standardization activities.

About the Role

This is a specialist assurance engineer role that demands domain expertise in OSS specifically in fault and inventory management domains. The ideal candidate will have prior experience of supporting and onboarding bespoke applications into strategic solutions.

Requirements

The following skills and qualifications are required:

  • 5+ years of experience in project where Netcool was deployed.
  • Hands-on experience in creating and administering netcool probe rules, impact policies, omnibus triggers, and procedure configurations.
  • Good understanding of cloud and devops technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Messagebus.
  • In-depth understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and system administration.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL, Oracle databases, and query language.
  • Experience in integrating interfacing applications.
