Senior SAP Finance Control Consultant

The role of a Senior SAP Finance Control Consultant involves collaborating closely with finance leadership to assess initiatives for SAP standard fitment, ensuring governance and compliance, and enabling analytics to support smarter decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and finance/procurement stakeholders.
  • Partner with VP Finance and Global Process Owners to intake, prioritize, and deliver finance-related initiatives.
  • Drive alignment with standard SAP processes, challenging non-standard requests when necessary.
  • Provide expertise in SAP FICO and PS modules—covering design, enhancements, and issue resolution.
  • Support integration of finance with procurement and other business functions.
  • Facilitate weekly alignment meetings with finance leadership for transparency and prioritization.
  • Ensure compliance, governance, and audit readiness for finance systems.
  • Oversee IT service management (incidents, requests, changes) for finance/procurement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on analytics and reporting initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 10–15 years of experience in SAP FICO and PS.
  • Strong knowledge of finance processes: AP, AR, GL, Asset Management, Controlling, Project Costing.
  • Proven ability to evaluate initiatives against SAP standards and propose best-fit solutions.
  • Experience as an IT Business Partner, Business Analyst, or Service Manager in Finance/Procurement.
  • Understanding of procurement and analytics integration with finance.
  • Knowledge of ITIL-based service management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to engage senior executives.
  • Experience in SAP reporting and analytics (BW, SAC, BI).
