Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Developer to design, develop and maintain robust back-end systems that support our maritime operations platform.

Closely collaborating with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure seamless integration of backend services with frontend applications, databases and other core systems.

  • Contribute to scalable software architecture.
  • Take ownership of product lifecycle from conceptualization through development and deployment.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development practices for high-quality code.
  • Build modular code to promote efficiency and consistency.
  • Optimize applications for performance, speed and scalability.
  • Implement security best practices and data protection regulations.
  • Maintain technical documentation for all systems and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong Python programming foundation and experience in developing web applications and APIs with Django/Flask.

  • Secure software development expertise and handling sensitive data.
  • In-depth knowledge of Source Code Repository and Git.
  • DB design & Architecture with focus on performance.
  • Caching techniques and utilities like Memcache/Redis.
  • Apache/Nginx or web/app server experience.
  • Containerization tool - Docker experience.
  • Enterprise level deployment and scaling.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
