Claims Professional

A professional with a passion for claims management is required to handle all legal issues related to claims matters.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and handling all claims, including cargo claims, P&I related matters, and third-party damages. They will also be involved in drafting and vetting various service agreements, MOU, Letters of Intent, and other business-related documents.
- Candidates should have excellent analytical skills, good reporting skills, trouble-shooting abilities, and proficiency in Ms.-office tools, especially Excel & Power point.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Monitor and handle court cases, appeals,writ petitions and action initiated by the authorities such as Customs, DRI, SIIB, CBEC etc.
- Appoint and liaise with reputable surveyors and outside counsels,in coordination with the Head Office Legal Department, including negotiating and recommending reasonable expenses.
- Make recommendations for improving claims handling process and procedures.
- Monitor and report on Indian case law and regulations impacting on CMA CGM scope of activity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum graduate
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in shipping industry and preferably with Cargo / Marine claims experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
