Job Title: Dam Instrumentation & Monitoring Specialist

Main Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the key expert for overall coordination and implementation of dam instrumentation systems.
  • Reviews and finalizes instrumentation action plans concerning SCADA, surveillance, and control systems.
  • Provides technical support for centralized control and command centers in state capitals and individual control rooms at dams.
  • Oversees data collection, transmission, processing, and analysis, and finalizes outcome report protocols.
  • Maintains proper operation and maintenance of established instrumentation at dams.
  • Manages technical hardware, software, and data transmission for all instrumentation plans.
  • Prepares technical bid documents focusing on bill of quantities, technical specifications, and instrument selection.
  • Defines qualifying criteria for instrumentation and monitoring systems.
  • Conducts third-party inspections and manages transmittals.
  • Facilitates capacity building of teams through customized training programs.
  • Contributes to the revision of guidelines related to instrumentation and monitoring.
  • Provides inputs for national websites and management information systems.
  • Supports the development of in-house expertise at academic institutes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in planning, technical specification, SCADA, surveillance, control systems, and automation in dams.
  • Proven track record of working with large dams and technical hardware, software, and data transmission.
