Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve accurate and timely recording of day-to-day financial transactions through meticulous journal entries, maintaining organized and up-to-date records.
  • Maintain a comprehensive record of tenant rent receipts.
  • Verify invoices for strict compliance with company policies, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processing.
  • Foster effective management of accounts receivable, promoting prompt resolution of outstanding payments through collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
  • Regularly reconcile bank statements to promptly identify and rectify discrepancies, safeguarding the integrity of financial records.
  • Conduct research and audits to confirm tenant inquiries, providing actionable insights.
  • Analyze account records, including credit memos, invoices, tenant billings, and cash receipts to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
  • Issue tenant statements detailing property revenue and expenditures to inform owners on key financial performance indicators.
  • Verify the accuracy of input information for property and tenant leases, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Analyze forecasts to identify potential cash deficiencies, enabling proactive financial planning.
  • Monitor rental notices at the commencement of each new budget operating year to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
  • Track, categorize, and reconcile business expenses, ensuring proper documentation and approval for all expenditures.
  • Assist in preparing Monthly Trust Reconciliation reports, leveraging analytical skills to provide valuable insights to clients.
  • Stay informed about accounting regulations, ensuring meticulous compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain well-documented and organized financial records for audits, including preparation of relevant tax forms.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and clients to foster seamless financial operations.
  • Gather financial information from various departments and address client inquiries promptly, promoting excellent customer service.
Requirements

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Financial Operations Specialist.

- Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

- Proficiency in using property management accounting software.

- Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
