Search Solution EngineerAvoiding clichés and trends, we are looking for an exceptional Search Solution Engineer to develop innovative search solutions. As a key member of our team, you will design and implement custom analyzers, tokenizers, and scoring algorithms using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.We prioritize data integrity, performance, and scalability by managing index templates, mappings, and lifecycle policies. Your expertise in developing and optimizing query pipelines tailored to complex business requirements is essential.You will leverage AI/ML/LLM to enrich data and improve search relevance, ensuring our users find the information they need quickly and accurately.Your role includes developing and maintaining robust APIs for search using Python (FastAPI) and leading efforts in integration, regression, and performance testing to guarantee reliability and accuracy of search features.You will also automate deployment and management of search infrastructure, collaborating with data engineers and product teams to deliver high-quality search experiences.
  • 5+ years of experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch in production environments.
  • Affinity with AI/ML-based search experiences such as RAG, learning to rank, and query understanding.
  • Expert-level expertise in Python, with experience building APIs (preferably FastAPI).
  • In-depth understanding of search concepts: analyzers, tokenizers, relevance tuning, custom scoring, and query DSL.
  • Experience with index template management, lifecycle policies, and large-scale data modeling.
  • Proficiency in designing and optimizing search pipelines and custom query builders.
  • Practical hands-on experience developing software using AI-assisted tools and workflows.
  • Strong testing background: integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • DevOps skills: automation, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with S3, AWS Lambda, and cloud-native architectures.
