Job Title: 3D Animation Developer

We are seeking a skilled 3D animation developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to create immersive and engaging experiences for children.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing interactive 3D scenes using Three.js and React-Three-Fiber (R3F). They will be responsible for building rich, dynamic scenes with custom shaders, SVG animation, real-time audio/video textures, and ensuring optimal performance on various platforms.

  • Develop high-quality 3D animations and scenes that run smoothly on mobile devices, web applications, and desktop browsers.
  • Collaborate with designers and animators to translate motion design into production-ready code.
  • Create internal tools such as level/scene loaders and develop effects accordingly.
  • Implement unit/integration tests, analytics hooks, and error logging to ensure reliable code.
  • Profile and fix performance issues across devices.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in modern React development, with strong proficiency in TypeScript.
  • 3+ years of experience with React-Three-Fiber/Three.js, building interactive, animated scenes/effects.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Strong skills in SVG mastery, including paths, viewBox, transforms, masking, filters, and orchestrating animation.
  • Experience with media handling, video textures, iOS autoplay constraints, user-gesture gating, and delivering inside mobile WebViews/iframes.
  • Deep understanding of performance intuition, including draw call/overdraw/GPUMem, texture formats & mipmaps, instancing, batching, cache invalidation.
  • Experience with Lottie, converting motion design into code/shaders.
