Backend Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team. This is an individual contributor role with opportunities to lead technical efforts and own server-side systems and APIs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Go and Python, as well as strong SQL skills and familiarity with schema design, indexing, transactions, and query optimization.

This role will involve delivering production-grade, well-tested, and maintainable code that supports a scalable monolith/modular monolith architecture. The successful candidate will also be responsible for troubleshooting, profiling, and optimizing runtime performance and system resource use.

Mandatory Skills
  • Go (Golang): Multiple shipped services or components; solid understanding of goroutines, channels, concurrency patterns, error handling, and idiomatic Go.
  • Python: Production experience building backend services, scripts, or data pipelines; comfortable with async patterns where relevant.
  • Databases: Strong SQL skills (Postgres preferred) and familiarity with schema design, indexing, transactions, and query optimization.
