Cloud Architect Role Overview

This role involves designing, planning, and implementing public cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud infrastructure, primarily Azure, secondarily AWS and/or GCP. Experience with Cloud Adoption Frameworks and Well-Architected Frameworks is highly valued.

  • Design, plan, and implement robust public cloud architectures.
  • Lead and deliver projects encompassing systems architecture, proof-of-concept, and deployment services.
  • Provide expert advice on enterprise networking, infrastructure, security, and compliance topics in cloud environments.
  • Develop hybrid connectivity and multi-cloud strategies.
Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Solutions: Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud architectures to meet business needs.

Automation: Develop and maintain scripts to automate various processes, including writing and optimizing scripts in languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write and update IaC to deploy cloud solutions using reusable modules.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or cloud providers are highly valued.
  • 7+ years of experience in consulting services or similar roles focused on project-based work and/or solution development.
  • Expert understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices.

Skills: Expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration-as-Code, containerization, scripting, and DevOps tools like Hashicorp Terraform, Azure Bicep, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
