Our team is seeking a Senior Staff Data Scientist II to lead the development of algorithms focused on improving eCPM for SMB ad campaigns across our platform.

About the Role :

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning and statistical modeling techniques for forecasting and optimization, with hands-on coding ability in Python, SQL, and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the vision and development of algorithms focused on improving eCPM for SMB ad campaigns across the platform.
  • Architect enhancements to the ad serving logic with a focus on yield optimization and revenue lift.
  • Build predictive models for inventory forecasting across ad types and formats, leveraging historical trends, seasonality, and real-time signals.
  • Partner with ad operations, product, and engineering to translate business goals into scalable ML/DS solutions.
  • Establish strong offline and online evaluation frameworks for assessing algorithm performance and business impact.
  • Design and lead A/B testing strategies to validate model effectiveness.
  • Mentor junior data scientists, establish technical best practices, and guide roadmap execution.
  • Stay updated on advancements in advertising algorithms, ML strategies, and forecasting techniques, bringing cutting-edge research into production.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in digital advertising, preferably in programmatic, performance, or display ad environments.
  • Deep understanding of yield optimization, eCPM drivers, and campaign performance metrics.
  • Strong expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling techniques for forecasting and optimization.
  • Experience building and scaling ML systems in production environments with high-throughput and low-latency requirements.
  • Hands-on coding ability in Python, SQL, and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Familiarity with ad tech stacks, RTB systems, demand-side platforms (DSPs), and ad servers is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
