Cloud Infrastructure Specialist L3

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our Platform Engineering Observability team.

This pivotal role will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, as well as managing self-hosted and on-premises assets.

  • Infrastructure Design: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of backup, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Automation: Develop and monitor automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Security: Implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard cloud environments.
  • Platform Administration: Administer company platforms to enhance user productivity, focusing on tools like Okta and AWS Workspaces.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and support application deployments.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to junior cloud engineers and other team members.

Key qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
