Workday Functional Consultant Role

We are seeking a Workday Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of functional experience in any modules in the HCM product suite, including Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Benefit, Security, Payroll, and Absence.

The successful candidate will have worked as a Solution Architect in an end-to-end implementation and have previous consulting experience, either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software organization in another ERP application.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and supporting HCM solutions
  • Managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Developing as a subject matter expert to find the right solution to client requirements
  • Developing working relationships with other team members and management, as well as onshore counterparts
  • Providing strong analytical and problem-solving skills to determine client needs and provide effective solutions
  • Prioritizing conflicting demands with little supervision
  • Mastery of at least 2 modules in the HCM product suite
  • Performing the following on a customer engagement: understanding customer business requirements, configuring the Workday solution, demonstrating the configurations through the building of prototype configurations, assisting the customer in testing the Workday solution
  • Understanding Workday's Implementation Methodology and using it on all customer engagements
  • Ensuring customers take advantage of Workday's proven solutions
  • Working with customers to help convert legacy data into Workday
  • Assisting the Integration Consulting team in helping to configure and test integrations between Workday and third-party/custom solutions
  • Creation and execution of lifecycle test scenarios for all testing cycles in scope through partnership with the Test Lead
  • Ensuring optimal test coverage and test execution, enabling a smooth and timely transition to production
  • Mentoring and sharing product knowledge with other consultants
  • Helping deliver successful project outcomes and lasting customer relationships
