Job Description

As a Lead QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions. You will design, implement, and maintain testing frameworks for our Enterprise TruRisk Platform.

The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining testing frameworks for big data workflows like ingestion, aggregation, ETL processing, debugging, and troubleshooting issues within the ecosystem.

You will be responsible for setting up the Big Data platform and Hadoop ecosystem for testing, defining test strategies, writing test plans for data platform enhancements, and new features/services built on it.

Additionally, you will define operating procedures, service monitors, and alerts, work with the NOC team to get them implemented, and perform system & performance testing of the data platform and applications.

Key responsibilities include leading automation efforts, developing automation frameworks using Java(Selenium), automating big data workflows, debugging, and troubleshooting issues.

  • Developing automation framework using Java(Selenium) and automate big data workflows like ingestion, aggregation, ETL processing
  • Debugging and troubleshooting issues within the big data ecosystem
  • Setting up the Big data platform and Hadoop ecosystem for testing
  • Defining test strategy and write test plan for data platform enhancements and new features/services built on it
  • Responsible for system & performance testing of the data platform and applications
  • Solving problems, establishing plans, and providing technical consultation in the design, development, and test effort of complex engineering projects

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in full-time testing role and at least 4-6 years in hands-on automation role as lead
  • Hands-on experience with Java and Selenium
  • Experience with building and designing automation frameworks
  • Hands-on experience in automating backend applications (e.g., database, REST APIs)
  • Integrate CI-CD pipelines for automation frameworks for ease of use
  • Hands-on experience with automating any backend applications (e.g., database, server-side)
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Good debugging skills
  • Working experience in Linux/Unix environment
  • Good understanding of testing methodologies
  • Good experience working with K8s
  • Hands-on experience in Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Elastic
  • Experience in Security domain is an advantage
